Warsaw Frederic Chopin International Airport (IATA: WAW, ICAO: EPWA) is the largest airport in Poland. The airport is quite busy, providing more than 300 take-offs and landings per day. The airport is separated from the city centre by a distance of 18 kilometres.
At the moment, the airport has two runways with lengths of 2800 and 3689 metres respectively. This allows all types of private aircraft, up to Boeing Business Jet, to arrive in Warsaw. The airport operates on a 24-hour basis. A separate terminal has been built for private aircraft passengers, ensuring privacy and speedy completion of all pre-flight formalities - it is enough to arrive at the terminal 30 minutes before the flight.
