REQUEST QUOTE The Cessna Sovereign private jet was created by Cessna to meet a need in the North American market - to cover the entire United States from one coast to the other without landing for refuelling. In 1998, Cessna announced the creation of a business jet that would sit between the Cessna Excel and the Citation X in the model lineup. The Cessna Citation Sovereign is similar in size to the Citation X, but the range and maximum cruising speed are lower, which determined the lower cost. The test flight programme began in 2002, and in 2004 type certificates were obtained in the USA and Europe.

The passenger cabin in the Cessna 680 Sovereign is similar in width and height to the Cessna Excel, but 2 metres longer. This allows for more comfortable seating for passengers and different cabin combinations, including a variant with a full sofa. The seats can be unfolded in flight, and any pair of seats can be transformed into a sleeper, full length and with a flat surface.
In the forward part of the cabin is a kitchen with a stove for warming up meals, compartments to accommodate in-flight catering, a bar, display cases with crystal and crockery. In the tail section is a lavatory, wardrobe and a roomy luggage compartment.
The Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign is powered by two powerful Pratt&Whitney PW306D engines, allowing take-off from short runways of 1100 metres or more. The same engines are fitted to the heavier Gulfstream G200 business jet. The Sovereign is equipped with Honeywell Primus Epic avionics system, information is displayed on 4 LCD monitors in a clear view.

In December 2013, the new version of this model received type certificate and deliveries began. The new model is called Cessna Sovereign+. The model with the index + differs in interior design, new engines and avionics, increased flight range. On the secondary market, the price of a Cessna Sovereign aged 12-15 years is between 5.5 and 7 million USD. Pre-owned Cessna Sovereign+ can be found for 14 million USD depending on flight hours, condition and installed equipment.

Currently Sovereign is not in production, only pre-owned options are available. First generation was in production from 2004 to 2012, second Sovereign + from 2014 to 2020. Models of 2004 - 2006 can be purchased starting from 5.5 million euro. 2015 Sovereign+ has a price tag of 11+ million euro. Price depends of year of manufacture, total flight hours since new and overall technical condition.
essna Sovereign can cross the Atlantic only with fuel stop. If the route is New York to London the fuel stop will be Keflavik in Iceland.
These are first and second generations of Sovereign private jet model. Sovereign Plus. Has a modified engines (Pratt & Whitney PW306D) that made possible to maximize flight distance to 5,900 kilometers, newer set of avionics Garmin G5000. Also passengers will notice a totally new cabin design, including improved passengers seats, lightning system and climate control.
Price of flight hour depends on flight distance, fuel prices in airports of departure and arrival, airport tariffs, number of passengers and additional services required. Charter price per hour is usually in the range of 4,500 – 5,000 euro.
