L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon
Michelin awards two stars to restaurants rated as ‘fine dining’ with skilfully prepared dishes and quality reflected in every bite. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon's location in the Miami Design District is the only restaurant in Florida to receive two stars. Named after the French word for ‘atelier,’ the restaurant reflects the culinary vision of the late Chef Joël Robuchon and showcases the highest craftsmanship in even the simplest of dishes. Its signature counter provides guests with a dynamic view of the creative process. You'll find both tasting portions and large plates here, but Michelin recommends the seasonal prix fixe so you can fully savour the French cuisine on offer.
Boia De
In the Michelin guide, the cuisine of the Boia De restaurant is ‘amazing’, and for good reason: It is located between a self-service laundry and a medical centre in Buena Vista. Boia De's chefs, Luciana Giangrandi and Alex Meyer, have created what Michelin calls a ‘distinctive and impressive’ menu featuring contemporary Italian cuisine. Although the eatery only seats 30 , don't let its modest size mislead you. The ever-changing selection of pasta dishes like rabbit pappardelle, Kamchatka crab tagliolini nero and ossobuco agnolotti will make you shine brighter than the signature neon-pink exclamation point illuminated above the restaurant's front door.
Miami Cat
Cat Miami, in the Miami Design District, is the perfect combination of Korean barbecue and American steakhouse. With an extensive wine list of over 1,200 labels, it's a place where guests can pair their drinks with dishes such as the USDA's signature five-day dry-aged beef, the Meat Feast (which includes four cuts of beef selected by the chef) or the exquisite Omakase steak. Michelin describes Cote Miami as a ‘stylised Korean steakhouse’ and recommends the restaurant's Butcher's Feast to first-time diners. Served with banchan (small Korean side dishes), several cuts of beef and two types of stew.
Hiden
Hiden hides in more than just its name. Chef Shingo Akikuni's eight-seat counter is located behind the taco stand at Wynwood , and its secret door is only accessible with a time-sensitive password. The eight to ten-course menu, selected by the chef, includes hot and cold dishes, sushi and desserts and is periodically updated to reflect changes in the availability of seasonal ingredients. The omakase restaurant pays homage to its Japanese roots and serves dishes made with high quality ingredients, many of which are imported from Japan.
