REQUEST QUOTE The Challenger 650 was introduced in 2014 and first deliveries to customers began in 2015 in the US, with deliveries to customers in Europe following the receipt of type approval. The Challenger 650 was developed as an update of the Challenger 605 and was built on the same platform. The Challenger 60x series began production in 1986, during which time more than 1,000 aircraft have been sold.

In designing the new cabin, engineers and designers drew on feedback from passengers and operators of the Challenger 605. The concept behind the changes in the Challenger 650 is similar to the Challenger 350, which proved a commercial success in its first year of release. Seat anatomy has been redesigned, side and roof panels have been redesigned, and the climate control system has been refined.
On the technical side, the engines and avionics were updated. The take-off thrust of GE Aviation CF34-3B engines has been increased by 5%, which allows the aircraft to use shorter runways or take off with a larger commercial load. For example, the Challenger 650 can fly to London City, known for its steep glide path due to its location within the city. Bombardier's proprietary Bombardier Vision provides a comfortable and clear cockpit environment for monitoring flight and aircraft control.
The entertainment multimedia system displays images on two 24-inch monitors, with speakers located throughout the cabin to provide bright and clear Hi-Fi sound. The system can be connected via USB and Bluetooth, there is integration with Apple and Android mobile platforms, and Blue-Ray disc playback is possible.

Production of Challenger 650 started in 2015. Cost of new Challenger 650 is approximately $32 million USD. Pre-owned jets start from $17 million USD for 2015 – 2016 year of manufacture. Price depends also on flight hours since new, maintenance history and overall condition.
Maximum cruise speed of Challenger 650 is 870 kilometers per hour. For long-range flights lower cruise speed is used for less fuel consumption and is around 800 kilometers per hour.
Passenger cabin layouts are from 10 to 12 passengers. Most typical cabin is designed for 11 seats: four-club seating zone in the forward cabin and in aft cabin two individual seats facing two seats with a divan on the opposite side for another 3 passengers.
