Hamburg International Airport is located 9 kilometres from the centre of Germany's second largest city. In 2016, the airport was renamed Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt, in honour of the former German Chancellor.
The airport was originally established in 1911, making it the oldest operating airport in the world. In the early 1990s, the airport underwent significant renovations, including the lengthening of the runway. There are currently two runways - 3,250 and 3,666 metres long. Hamburg Airport can accept any type of private aircraft, from turboprops to wide-body VIP airliners.
A separate terminal with all the necessary infrastructure - parking aprons, hangars for long-term storage and maintenance, technical centres and other services - has been built for passengers of private aircraft.
Private jet charter prices are shown for informational purposes to provide an estimated price level for the specified route and jet model. The actual price for a specific flight may be lower or higher, depending on the season and current market situation.
