Václav Havel International Airport (Letiště Václava Havla Praha) is the main airport of the Czech capital. The airport is located 12 kilometres from the centre of Prague. Opened in 1937, the airport underwent modernisations and expansions in 1956, 1968, 1997 and 2006. In 2012, the airport was renamed in honour of the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel.
Two runways, 3,715 and 3,250 metres long, allow any type of private aircraft to arrive in Prague. The airport accepts aircraft around the clock.
A separate Terminal 3 has been built for private aircraft passengers, with all the necessary services. Pre-flight formalities are carried out as quickly as possible, it is enough to arrive at the terminal 30 minutes before departure time to complete all procedures.
