Helsinki International Airport (Helsinki-Vantaan) is the main airport of the Finnish capital and the largest in Finland in terms of passenger traffic. The airport is located about 5 kilometres from the city centre. The airport was built and opened for the 1952 Olympic Games.
There are three runways at the airport, the newest was opened in 2002. The runways are between 2,903 and 3,502 metres long, allowing all models of private aircraft to be accepted at full capacity. The airport is open for arrivals and departures 24 hours a day.
A separate terminal has been built for the pre-flight formalities of private aircraft passengers, allowing them to arrive at the terminal just 30 minutes before departure. Next to the terminal there is a dedicated apron for parking private aircraft, as well as hangar complexes for storage and maintenance.
Private jet charter costs are shown for informational purposes to provide an estimated price level for the specified route and jet model. The actual price for a specific flight may be lower or higher, depending on the season and current market situation.
